Fields of Mistria 0.14.1 was a bug-fix patch for issues introduced by 0.14.0. It restored seed tooltips and multi-page shop navigation, clarified Best Friend status in the Journal, fixed an Adeline relationship-route regression, and addressed several festival, animal, greenhouse, request-board, and save-update problems.
Relationship and progression fixes
The Journal now shows “Best Friend” instead of “Single” when the player chose an NPC’s Best Friend route during an 8-heart event. The official notes also fixed a case where Adeline could switch from Dating to Best Friends after Eiland’s 8-heart event. The official recovery instruction for an already-affected 0.14.1 save was to load a save from before Eiland’s 8-heart event; this is a historical recovery boundary, not a general relationship reset rule.
The patch added clearer interact bubbles at the Harvest Festival Feast Table and Pumpkin Patch sign. Requests now appear more reliably when valid requests are available, and the Carpenter’s Shop upgrade quest appears at Renown 70 after the other upgrade questlines, including the Saturday Market upgrade.
Shops, NPCs, and farm systems
Navigation on two-page menus at Darcy’s Stall, Hayden’s Shop, and other stores was restored. Merri no longer sells Craft Decor Set items and recipes; the official notes moved those recipes to Balor’s Wagon. Wheedle’s Likes were corrected for a duplicate liked item, and Balor’s 8-heart event letter name and quest objective were clarified.
Water Sprite Statues in greenhouses now continue working correctly when the player leaves while they are active or when it is raining or snowing. Animals no longer eat trough food before 10am, and NPCs no longer briefly revert to lower-heart dialogue after loading. Other fixes cover Mist Spots, saplings, letters, storage controls, armor slots, and portraits.
