Direct answer

Start a crop plan with four questions: which season the crop accepts, how long the first harvest takes, whether it regrows, and whether a greenhouse removes the seasonal constraint. Public farming references agree on these planning dimensions, but this page does not substitute an unlabeled price table for current evidence.

For a normal seasonal plot, leave enough days for the first harvest before the season changes. A regrowing crop can produce additional harvests after the first one, so its value is a cycle rather than only one harvest. A greenhouse is a separate planning case: use it when the source record explicitly says the crop can be grown there, and do not assume that every outdoor seasonal rule transfers unchanged.

Next step

Open the crop record and check the evidence label beside every number. If growth, regrowth, season, sell price, seed price, or tile assumptions are missing, keep that part of the calculation unavailable. Use the profit calculator only after the required fields are present for the game version you are playing.

When comparing two crops, record the current day and the number of tiles first. Then compare the number of completed harvests that fit before the deadline, not just the displayed sell price. Keep a note of whether the crop is a one-time harvest or a regrow cycle so a later correction does not silently change the plan.

This guide intentionally leaves exact crop values to separately sourced records. The community pages are useful for discovering and cross-checking mechanics, but they are editable and are not official patch notes.
